About
Hello, this is Coline! I founded Coquito in 2022 because I couldn't find quality jewelry at a reasonable price.
Having worked for large companies like Amazon, Fossil, Uber, as well as for the federal government, I know how mass-produced goods are made. Most brands use low-quality materials that oxidize or change color quickly, while charging exorbitant prices for low-grade materials. I wanted to offer the opposite: durable pieces, primarily made of stainless steel, that retain their shine for years at a fair price.
The name " Coquito " is a nod to the nickname I was given when I lived in Portugal in 2020-2022.
Today, I handcraft all my pieces in my studio in Shediac. In addition to assembly, I shape my clay pieces from start to finish: I cut, fire, and paint them by hand. I strive to never repeat the same style so that each creation remains unique. My creations are inspired by my years spent in various countries, including Finland, Spain, Greece, Russia, Brazil, and about thirty other destinations.
Alongside Coquito, I hold a full time position as marketing manager.
Thank you for supporting my project and for sharing this adventure with me through Coquito. ♡
